Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a transformative technology in financial markets, offering significant opportunities for improving market efficiency, risk management, forecasting, and decision-making. AI-driven models can process large volumes of financial data and identify complex patterns, enabling faster detection of anomalies and potential sources of financial instability. However, the increasing reliance on automated and interconnected AI systems also presents risks, including algorithmic bias, model uncertainty, cybersecurity threats, data limitations, lack of transparency, and the potential amplification of market volatility through synchronized trading. This study examines the opportunities and risks associated with AI in promoting financial market stability. It emphasizes the importance of responsible AI adoption through effective regulation, model validation, transparency, continuous monitoring, and human oversight. The study concludes that AI can contribute substantially to financial resilience when its deployment is supported by appropriate governance and risk-management frameworks.
